The Irrigation Information Screen allows you to track how much irrigation is applied, the maturity group, what equipment was used, the emergance date, a start date, an initial deficit and a start deficit.
Once you have created the initialization transaction the system then is capable of tracking Day to Day Irrigation in the Day to Day tab. This is where you will track the day to day details such as temperature, rainfall amount, irrigation amount, hours the system ran and you can enter in a total estimated cost for the day.
You can add in expenses for irrigation in the Miscellaneous Field Costs tab. Here you can enter in the basics of an expense that would pertain specifically to irrigation by date, the farm / field it occured on, a total cost for the expense, a description and add in notes about the expense.
All three of these screens can also be used to quickly find a transaction by year, by a specific date and / or a specific farm / field. The grid on these screens operate similar to an excel spreadsheet. You can use the ENTER key to go from cell to cell. A big bonus is it automatically saves your changes just by changing cells!
These screens allow you to keep your hands on the keyboard which elminates unecessary trips from keyboard to mouse. By keeping your hands on the keyboard speeds up the data entry and gets you to the recliner quicker! This is accomplished with short cut keys and using the ENTER key. A quick example is the F6 Key will copy the data directly above the active cell.
