The Planting Information Screen has been created to track the transactions taken place during the planting season.  Keep track of what grain variety you drilled / planted and on which field.  This screen can track what tractor and drill / planter performed the transaction.  You can track the depth, seed rate, total acres drilled / planted for that day and input an estimated total cost for the day.

You can add in expenses for drilling / planting in the Miscellaneous Field Costs Tab.  Here you can enter in the basics of an expense that would pertain specifically to drilling / planting by date, the farm / field it occured on, a total cost for the expense, a description and add in notes about the expense.

These screens can also be used to quickly find a transaction by year, by a specific date and / or a specific farm / field.  The grid on these screens operate similar to an excel spreadsheet.  You can use the ENTER key to go from cell to cell.  A big bonus is it automatically saves your changes just by changing cells! 

These screens allow you to keep your hands on the keyboard which elminates unecessary trips from keyboard to mouse.  By keeping your hands on the keyboard speeds up the data entry and gets you to the recliner quicker!  This is accomplished with short cut keys and using the ENTER key.  A quick example is the F6 Key will copy the data directly above the active cell.
